Wow Wow Wow
What a fabulous find in Kings Lynn today. After a bit of primarni shopping we stumbled across this one-off find and trust me it truly is amazing. The owners ouze passion for what they do and it really shows. With him being the chef and real Caribbean you know you are in safe hands. After ordering a few cocktails which were fab, our food arrived My hubby ordered curried goat and me a mixed grill the presentation, taste and authenticity was second to none. Being a business owner myself I really appreciated the hospitality we was shown even the chef came over to introduce himself and shake my hubbys hand and discuss his recipes .. The music was right up our street and made us feel like we wanted to stay out all night (we even checked out price of travel lodge but was to last min and crazy prices) we will however be returning to enjoy more cocktails food and look forward to having a boogie. Will defo be spreading the word you guys work hard, and it sure shows you are defo getting it right. See you again soon!
The Soul Cafe is a fantastic and unique place to eat. The restaurant has a clean, simple vibe allowing the food to remain the star of the show. Staff are polite, friendly and welcoming and always appear to be smiling. The kitchen is front and centre, allowing you to watch the chefs at work preparing your dishes and for the smell of Caribbean cooking to tickle your taste buds while you browse the menu. The food is like nothing else in King’s Lynn. Dishes are full of flavour, accompanied perfectly and look like individual works of art, with each plate decorated and presented beautifully. The new menu is amazing. Recommendations would be: the Caribbean platter – with its mixture of meats offering a variety of flavours, accompanied with sides and dips/slaws for that fresh Caribbean experience. And the parrotfish – possibly the best dish on the menu to date, it melts in your mouth and tastes divine. Even my other half, who doesn’t like fish, tried it and wished he had chosen to order it for himself. Nothing but high praise for a place that is so different and brings a wonderful touch of something new to a town full of the usual takeaways and pub food.
The cocktails were great but the food was absolutely beautiful, I had the sea bass. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Soul cafe is a real boost to king’s Lynn, offering something different for a night out. I’ll definitely be visiting again.
